45th GST Council meeting- GST rates revised for many goods

Union Finance & Corporate Affairs Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman on the 45^th GST Council Meet (17^th September 2021) has announced the revision of GST rates of a number of goods and commodities. The existing concessional on the GST rates introduced for Covid-19 treatment drugs until 31^st December 2021. Statement was made by Sitharaman that including petrol & diesel under the GST won’t be the right time now.

The GST hike rate against Swiggy and Zomato was 5% at the time of delivery leading to higher prices of as orders were made from these delivery companies.
